History is a fascinating and defining element of the human experience. If we think about three states of existence: what was, what is, and what will be, then we see that history is a huge category. In fact, it is everything that has ever happened, yet defined by those not immediately in the experience. We have assembled a list of links designed at faciliating a deeper understanding and education of history. Included in these links are the Electronic Cultural Atlas Initiative, a scholarly initiative to create a comprehensive interactive electronic historical world atlas combining mapping, imagery, and texts.
