The world of video gaming is impossibly fickle. The company that holds the greatest market share at one point in a product life cycle is passed by as a newer and better gaming system is introduced offering more flexibility and greater gaming power. The original Nintendos were upstaged by Sega and their focus on sports games, such as Electronic Arts and their suite of football, hockey, basketball and baseball games. Now, the times have passed again and Sega has lost market share to Sony.
