Alcoholism affects millions of people around the world every day. In fact, many people are born with a pre-disposition towards certain kinds of addictions with alcoholism being one of the most prevalent. We've included sites such as the link to Alcoholics Anonymous, a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. We've also included sites like the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. The NIAA provides leadership in the national effort to reduce alcohol-related problems by conducting and supporting research in a wide range of scientific areas including genetics, neurosciene, epidemiology, health risks and benefits of alcohol consumption, prevention, and treatment.
